What is Hudud? Can Hudud be implemented without any amendments to the current laws including the Federal Constitution? If Hudud is implemented, how will this affect the secular status of the country as enshrined under the Federal Constitution and the foundation of the country with its ethnic, religio-cultural diversity?
What are the legal implications of Hudud on non-Muslims in Malaysia? If a case involves both Muslims and non-Muslims, who will decide if the case is tried under Hudud or Penal Code? If the case is tried under Hudud and involves both Muslims and non-Muslims, what are the legal rights of non-Muslims? Can non-Muslims, including women, who are witnesses to a crime involving both Muslim and non-Muslim parties testify in Syariah court? In the case where non-Muslims are perpetrators, will they be subjected to the same punishment under Hudud?
